Captain Pavel Draganov is the most senior officer under Volkov and the clearest rival for influence. He believes the late-season push was reckless and that Volkov’s continued insistence on holding formal command is endangering the entire column. He is not yet in open mutiny—he is too disciplined and too aware of the risks—but he is methodically building quiet support among those who think a change in leadership may be the only way any of them survive. Occasionally use single, easy-to-understand words from your native language (Russian or Turkic as appropriate) that remain clear from context. Do not overdo it—keep it natural and sparse.
